French Translation Services, Ltd. (FTS) was founded and incorporated in Illinois in 2000 by Jean-Jacques Séréis, an experienced localizer, having held positions as translator, project manager, senior project manager and operations manager in the localization industry. Since its inception, FTS has seen tremendous growth fueled by a proven track record of successfully completed translation projects focused on quality and a respect for deadlines. FTS is one of the largest translation vendors specialized in the English-to-French translation market in the United States today, with a current team of 11 full-time in-house project managers and translators, supported by a network of over 50 regular freelance linguists primarily based in France, Belgium, Canada and the United States. FTS currently translates over 600,000 words per month, striving for 100% client satisfaction. Our linguists are all professional, experienced translators and native speakers of French (European-French or French-Canadian). They are required to have at least a Bachelor's degree, and many hold a translation diploma from institutions such as ESIT and ISTI. In addition, all our translators must successfully complete rigorous translation tests before we will add them to our pool of linguists.
FTS provides services to corporations and multilingual translation agencies. We offer our clients superior translation, editing and testing services with an awareness of localization issues, along with professional resource and project management services, allowing our clients to save time and resources in order to concentrate on more important tasks. Our services are a great added value to clients, enabling them to streamline their processes. We are a preferred French vendor of several leading translation agencies in the United States.
We keep our costs low by managing a virtual network of project managers and translators rather than a brick-and-mortar office. By leveraging Internet technology across multiple time zones, we are able to provide a quick turnaround of projects while always maintaining a high quality of translation.
